Besides discounts on The Last of Us content on PS4 and PS5, these A Big Adventure skins are sadly the only new currently playable content that came out of the day. Fans did catch a glimpse of Joel and Ellie in The Last of Us HBO show, or at least their backs. Although fans still did not get a look at the project, Naughty Dog confirmed The Last of Us Factions was in development, after what's seemed like a year of teases. These skins join a swarm of other announcements and surprises that came on The Last of Us Day. For example, the Ellie skin includes her signature backpack, featuring the space museum pin, while the Abby skin brings over her unique backpack design, as well as Abby's deadly hammer, slung through the right side. Both skins are very detailed, showing how committed the team was to bring these characters to life in A Big Adventure. The skins are based on Ellie and Abby from The Last of Us Part 2, beautifully translating their iconic appearances into the Sackboy style. Players can now download Sackboy: A Big Adventure's free Ellie and Abby skins on PS4 and PS5.

A Big Adventure is a more straightforward platformer that does away with LittleBigPlanet's 2D-lane-shifting gameplay, playing more like Super Mario 3D World but with the classic charm of the Sackboy world. A Big Adventure launched with the PS5 in fall 2020, and took the iconic Sackboy in a direction quite dissimilar to his days of LittleBigPlanet. It was announced last week that Sackboy: A Big Adventure was getting Ellie and Abby skins in honor of their series' annual September 26 celebration, The Last of Us Day.
Now though, can download skins for Ellie and Abby from The Last of Us Part 2 in Sackboy: A Big Adventure. Sackboy: A Big Adventure has many costumes from PlayStation's most popular franchises, but was starkly missing some from The Last of Us.
